Bala Tsoho Musa, the Principal of Abuja Rehabilitation Center, was murdered by an unidentified assailant.
Affectionately known as “comrade,” Musa was discovered dead on Friday night within the center, located in Kuchiko, a community in the Bwari Area Council of Abuja.
According to Daily Trust, the center was established by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to provide skill acquisition training for beggars and individuals arrested for public nuisance.
Sources who spoke to our correspondent on Saturday revealed that Musa’s lifeless body was found alongside his wheelchair.
One source indicated that a piece of wood, believed to be the murder weapon, was present at the scene, and two of Musa’s mobile phones were missing.
“It appears no one in the deceased’s household knew about the incident, likely due to the noise from the power generator. It was only when a deaf female maid, who assists the family, returned to the hostel that the alarm was raised,” the source added.
When contacted, CSP Babayola Muhammad, the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Bwari, confirmed the incident to our reporter.
