The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed the tragic death of five of its personnel in a road accident.
Olusola Akinboyewa, the Director of Public Relations and Information for the Air Force, announced the news in a statement shared on the official X account of the force.
Mr. Akinboyewa, an air commodore, revealed that the accident took place on Tuesday on the “Hawan Kibo along the Jos-Akwanga Express Road.”
He explained that the personnel were “en route to a sporting event in Abuja when their vehicle collided with an oncoming truck.”
