Mr. Success Nwabueze, the publisher of Naijadailynews247, was abducted from his office in Umuahia today by unidentified individuals.
According to his colleagues, one of the abductors claimed to be affiliated with the DSS, but officials from the secret police have yet to verify this.
Efforts by his family and friends to ascertain his whereabouts have so far been unsuccessful.
This abduction has sparked concern within the Abia social media community, with rising suspicions of possible involvement from Abia State government officials.
One Facebook user, Jude Chijioke Ndukwe, remarked, “It is despotic and tyrannical to make a citizen disappear without a trace in Abia. What is Abia State becoming? Where is Onyekachi Nwabueze?”
Mr. Onyekachi, who sources confirm was undergoing treatment for a serious undisclosed illness, has not been seen as of the time of this report.
