The Senate confirmed seven ministerial nominees proposed by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday evening, appointing them as Ministers and members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

This resolution came after several hours of rigorous screening conducted by Senators in a Committee of the Whole.

The newly appointed Ministers include Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction; Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, Minister of Labour and Employment; and Amb. Bianca Odinaka Odumegu-Ojukwu, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

The rest of the appointments feature Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment; Idi Muktar Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development; Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as Minister of State for Housing; and Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad as Minister of State for Education.

It is noteworthy that President Tinubu had expressed his desire for the Senate to expedite their consideration of these nominations in a letter sent last week.
