The newly sworn-in governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has appointed Barrister Musa Ikhilor as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
This decision comes just hours after Okpebholo took office on Tuesday, following his appointment of Fred Itua as Chief Press Secretary a day earlier.
Dr. Samson Osagie, a former federal lawmaker, has been nominated as the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.
Additionally, Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole, son of former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, has been nominated as Health Commissioner.
The elder Oshiomhole currently serves as the Senator representing Edo North in the National Assembly and played a significant role in Governor Okpebholo’s election victory.
According to a press statement from the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor, the nominations of Osagie and Oshiomhole will be submitted to the Edo State House of Assembly for confirmation once they are forwarded by Governor Okpebholo.
