Rt. Hon. Dr. Nnamdi Odo has been re-elected as the Coordinating Leader of Enugu Legislative leaders, representing the 260 ward Councillor of the state.

Rt. Hon. Odo, the Councillor representing Obollo Afor Ward in Udenu LGA Legislative council was re-elected today by the 17 legislative leaders after their meeting held at ESUT business School, Okpara Avenue.

In the communique issued at the end of theit extra ordinary meeting, the body also announced the election of Rt. Hon. Ani Ikechukwu as the Deputy; Rt. Hon. Igwe Philip Ikechukwu as the secretary, Nnaji Irenus Anene, for PRO, while Rt. Hon. Udeh Roseline will serve as their Treasurer.

The forum also expressed “gratitude to the Governor for the free, fair and credible elections and smooth swearing-in of 260 Ward Councillors across the state.

“We thank all the 17 LGA Chairmen led by the ALGON Chairman, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh and pledge to work closely with all the Chairmen in our various LGA

“We congratulate the 260 ward Councillors for successful swearing in for second tenure and promise to provide quality representation especially to promote Councillor’s welfare across the state.”

In the communique which was signed by the 17 legislative leaders, the lawmakers appreciated the governor “for the construction of 260 Smart Green schools, Type 2 Primary Health Center and various projects in the 260 wards of Enugu State,” and pledged to “work harmoniously with our respective Council Chairmen for effective governance in the grassroot.

“We promise to adequately supervise and take charge of these projects in our various wards to ensure strict compliance to quality standard and timely delivery by the contractors.

“We resolve to maintain unity among the 260 Councillors and communicate our welfare to the higher authority through the Leadership of the 17 Legislative forum.

“We agree to work collaboratively with His Excellency Barr Peter Mbah the Governor of Enugu State to achieve his disruptive innovation objectives.
