During a presentation ceremony at the Commission’s headquarters in Enugu, Executive Secretary Prince Arinze Arum expressed that the competition aimed not only to find a logo that captures the essence of the Commission’s mission—to promote fairness, transparency, innovation, and responsible gaming—but also to provide a platform for youth and creative minds to showcase their talents in a meaningful way that would endure for generations.
“Therefore, I am excited to be celebrating the creativity, talents and ingenuity of the Nigerian youth that embraced this challenge.
“The response to the competition was nothing short of remarkable, as we received over 1,000 entries, each one unique and impressive in its own right.
“So, selecting the eventual winner was not an easy task for our panel of judges, which includes experts from various fields and staff of the commission. But after careful consideration, we found a design that stood out. A design that not only captured the essence of the Commission but also reflected the heritage of Enugu State.
“Today, we award the grand prize of ₦200,000 to Mr Kenneth Chibuikem Nwangah, that talented individual whose design will become the new face of the Enugu State Gaming and Lotto Commission.
“The logo will be more than just a symbol. It will represent the trust, responsibility, and innovation that guide our work. It will be a beacon of our commitment to promoting a safe and transparent gaming environment that benefits all stakeholders,” Arum said.
The Executive Secretary, equally congratulated all those who participated in the competition, stating that their outstanding efforts and creativity had gone a long way in showing the talents in Enugu State.
In his appreciation message, the winner of the competition, Kenneth Nwangah expressed his happiness for emerging the winner of the grand prize and thanked the Commission and the state government for creating such an avenue for the youth to showcase their talents.
“I got the information from a friend and I decided to give it a try. I put in my best, just like every other participant in the competition. To the glory of God, my hard work and creativity made me emerge the winner. However, all of us are winners in the competition because it made so many of us do things we ordinarily wouldn’t have done,” said the winner.
