Senator Austin Akobundu, representing the Abia Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has expressed profound shock over the attack on the motorcade of Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, the Member for Isiala Ngwa North/Isiala Ngwa South Federal Constituency.
The assault, which tragically claimed the life of a police officer assigned to the lawmaker, occurred on Sunday evening in the Ubakala area of Umuahia South LGA, Abia State. Fortunately, Onwusibe was not present in the convoy when it came under fire.
In response to this alarming incident, Senator Akobundu vehemently condemned the attack and urged security agencies to conduct a comprehensive investigation to bring the culprits to justice.
While offering his condolences to Onwusibe for the attack and the death of his security aide, Akobundu pledged his unwavering solidarity and support during this difficult time.
He also prayed for the eternal rest of the fallen policeman and for the family he left behind, imploring God to grant them the strength to endure this profound loss.
