The Enugu SME Centre, led by Hon. Arinze Chilo-Offiah, is at the forefront of transforming the landscape for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the state through targeted training, grants, and collaborations with government and non-governmental agencies.
Chilo-Offiah highlighted their achievements, stating that their programs align with His Excellency Governor Peter Mbah’s vision to elevate Enugu State among Nigeria’s top three economies by GDP.
He emphasized, “The Enugu SME Agency is devoted to empowering local entrepreneurs through innovative programs and resources, driving sustainable growth and fostering a thriving business environment in our state.”
“Among the many impactful initiatives launched by the Enugu SME Centre, the SMEDAN Grant Program has emerged as a crucial support mechanism for entrepreneurs. The equipment grants disbursed through this program, valued in the millions, have significantly bolstered small businesses throughout the state.
“A prime example is the owner of ‘Queen’s Makeover’, a local beauty salon, who utilized a grant to enhance her operations. With the funding, she acquired additional makeup tables, chairs, solar panels, and other essential equipment, allowing her to operate more efficiently and increase her profitability.
“This success story exemplifies the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Peter Mbah, whose commitment to SME development continues to propel rapid economic growth in Enugu State. We also commend Mr. Arinze Chilo-Offiah for his strategic leadership in guiding the Enugu SME Agency towards effectively realizing the Governor’s vision.
