Pacesetter Frontier Magazine, organisers of the Frontier Discourse Annual Public Lecture Series and Awards have disclosed that Femi Adesina, the Spokesman to former President Muhammadu Buhari, will headline the panel discussion which will also have the Keynote Speaker, Dr Jewel Howard-Taylor, Liberia’s 30th Vice President & Ex-Senate President and other young Africans – Dennis Mugaa, Aniekan Joseph and Chima Christian as Discussants.

The 4th edition of the Frontier Discourse Annual Public Lecture Series is scheduled to be held virtually on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, by 4.30 pm (WAT).

Recall that the topic of the lecture is: “Beyond Borders – Shared Pressures and the Politics of Reforms in African States”.

Femi Adesina, OON, is a Nigerian journalist who served as the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the former president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari. Femi Adesina started his career in journalism as a writer for Radio Lagos, he then later joined Vanguard Newspapers. Adesina wrote for Vanguard Newspapers and National Concord Newspapers before joining The Sun Newspaper, where he rose to Editor-in-Chief. He also served a two-year term as president of the Nigerian Board of Editors. Although re-elected for a second term as Guild president, Adesina stepped down after receiving his government appointment. He also stepped down as editor-in-chief of The Sun. Adesina was sworn in as special adviser on media and publicity to Buhari on August 31, 2015.

Dennis Mugaa is a Kenyan writer and editor. His debut short story collection, Half Portraits Under Water, was published by Masobe Books in 2024.

Aniekan Joseph is a results-oriented professional with a strong background in business development and public health. His approach leverages skills in business growth and new business development that he has refined over the years in various sectors, including healthcare technology and international development. With a keen interest in public policy and governance, Aniekan is building continental partnerships and collaborating with like-minded individuals and organizations to create a compelling narrative about global issues and their implications for Africa.

Chima Christian is a renowned public policy expert and a good governance advocate based in Nigeria. He is the Executive Director of Africa’s Morning Centre – a not-for-profit public policy advisory and good governance advocacy outfit dedicated to resolving complex societal issues through actionable insights and strategic policy recommendations. His strategic initiatives focus on retooling public policies to empower citizens and drive systemic change in Africa. He is committed to promoting responsible governance and fostering active civic participation to build a just and equitable society.
