Following the Supreme Court verdict which said that Edozie Njoku isn’t the authentication National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Ekene Uzodinma, the Chairman of the party under Njoku’s faction has stepped down from his position.
In a terse statement made available to newsmen in Enugu, Uzodinma said his action is in line with Chief Edozie Njoku’s position.
Recall that Njoku had earlier accepted the verdict of the apex court and expressed his commitment to the rule of law and the authority of the court
In the same vein, Uzodinma said while saying that he’ll respect the rule of law, added that; “Although the judgment may have nullified Chief Edozie Njoku’s leadership, we must recognize the significant contributions he has made to our party. His vision and dedication have been instrumental in shaping APGA’s direction.
“As we move forward, I want to pledge my support to the new leadership of APGA in Enugu state. We will work together to ensure a seamless transition and maintain our party’s momentum. Our commitment to our shared values and ideals remains unwavering.
“To our party members, I urge you to remain calm, focused, and dedicated to our cause. We must put aside our differences and work together to build a stronger, more resilient party.
“In conclusion, I want to assure you that we will continue to uphold the principles of democracy, justice, and equality. We will work tirelessly to ensure that our party remains a beacon of hope for our people.”
