The pan-Igbo sociocultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Enugu State chapter, has expressed its support for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, praising his visionary and transformative leadership in Enugu State.
The group highlighted that since taking office, Governor Mbah has achieved significant milestones, demonstrating unwavering dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm to elevate Enugu State.
In a statement issued to journalists in Enugu on Tuesday and signed by Prof. Fred O. Eze and Dr. Malachy Chuma Ochie, President and Secretary of the Enugu State chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, respectively, the organisation noted the Governor’s remarkable accomplishments across various sectors within the state.
Among the notable achievements listed were the overhaul of transportation infrastructure, the establishment of Smart Schools and Hospitals, the completion of the State International Conference Centre, and enhancements to the state’s aesthetics, among other lasting legacies.
“We take pride in Governor Peter Mbah’s legacy as a visionary leader who is resourceful and driven,” the statement declared.
“Governor Mbah has elevated governance in the state to unprecedented heights and has shown remarkable commitment to transforming Enugu into an attractive destination for investment.”
Ohanaeze Ndigbo also commended the Governor’s dedication to manpower development and his emphasis on accountability and transparency as the cornerstones of his administration.
“We commend the Governor for implementing the national minimum wage and his determination to modernise the state civil service by transitioning from manual processes to e-governance. We urge the people of Enugu State to set aside their differences and unite in support of this transformative leader for the greater good of the state,” the statement continued.
Ohanaeze further praised Governor Mbah’s initiatives and commitment to the state’s economic growth, which they deemed unparalleled.
“We thank him for honouring his social contract with the citizens of the state. We wish him and the people of Enugu State a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year in advance!”
