A dramatic shift unfolded in Edo State politics on Monday as Hon Ojezele Osezua Sunday, a prominent member of the Edo State House of Assembly, officially abandoned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Representing the Esan South East state constituency, Osezua described his defection as a long-awaited homecoming. “The ongoing crisis within the PDP has compelled me to seek refuge in the APC,” he declared, emphasising his belief in the new party’s vision.

Welcoming him with open arms at the party secretariat, state chairman Jaret Tenabe hinted at a growing trend, asserting that “many more will soon join our ranks.” He further dismissed any notion that the APC was to blame for the turmoil driving members away from the PDP, focusing instead on the bright future ahead for those who choose to embrace change.
