On Saturday, 28th December 2024, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing the Abia North Senatorial Zone, welcomed the new Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Yu Dunhai, along with his delegation, which included Minister Counsellor Zhang Yi and Chief of Political Section Zhu Songbo.
Also in attendance was the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of Economy, Mr Wale Edun.
Senator Kalu remarked that the visit provided a valuable opportunity to engage in economic discussions focusing on trade, investment, and overall economic policies.
He expressed optimism for a prosperous 2025, emphasising the importance of enhanced cooperation based on a mutually beneficial approach for both nations.
