In the spirit of the Yuletide and New Year celebrations, the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Austin Akobundu, has distributed over 1200 bags of rice to his constituents to mark the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Speaking at his Oloko country home through the Director-General of his 2023 Campaign Council, Pastor Emeka Inyamah, Senator Akobundu said that he distributed the items to support his constituents as they celebrate in the festive season.

Senator Akobundu appreciated the people for their quality support to him, assuring that he would continue to give them quality and purposeful representation at the National Assembly.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Elder Amah Abraham, represented by the State Assistant Financial Secretary of the party, Deacon Obioma Igwe, lauded Senator Akobundu for being a detrabilized federal lawmaker and a source of blessing and inspiration to not only the party faithful but also the entire Abia populace, and prayed God to continue to bless him.

In their separate remarks, the Legislative Coordinator to Senator Akobundu for Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Hon. G.C Iwuoha and the Osisioma Ngwa LGA PDP Chairman, Barr. (Prince) Emeka Onyenso, while praising Senator Akobundu for being a pillar of support to the Abia PDP, promised that the items would be shared to the people accordingly.

In their vote of thanks, the Isiala Ngwa North PDP Chairman, Elder G.O.C Nnaji, the Isiala Ngwa South Women Coordinator for Senator Akobundu, Mrs. Akudo Ibe and Umuahia South LGA Coordinator of Senator Akobundu Youth Support Network, Mr. Anthony Ukobasi, appreciated Senator Akobundu for his magnanimity.

The distribution of the Christmas and New Year gifts was witnessed by the Senior Legislative Aide as well as the Legislative Aide (in Abia State) to the Senator, Hon. Stanley Nwabuisi and Pastor Ekeleme Ikeije, among other dignitaries.
