In a tragic incident, three young boys, aged between 3 and 6, were brutally murdered in their home in Nise, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The children, sons of a local native doctor, were discovered with their mouths bound and their small bodies lifeless in pools of blood.

The unidentified gunmen had infiltrated the compound by scaling the fence, and their motive remains a mystery.

According to a source, the boys’ father, a man in his thirties known only as a native doctor and businessman, had a routine of locking the children inside while he attended to his work.

The anonymous source revealed, “He would return briefly to feed them before locking the compound again and leaving.”

While the father’s disputes with unknown individuals have come to light, it is still unclear if these conflicts are connected to the heinous crime that took the lives of his three innocent sons.

It was also gathered that their father, a young man in his early thirties, is a native doctor and a businessman.

A source who spoke on condition of anonymity said the young man whose name is still unknown typically locked the children inside the compound while he went for business, accompanied by their mother.

The source added: “He would return home to serve them a meal before heading back to his business after locking them up.”

He was further reported to have been having issues with some persons, but it is yet to be determined if the conflicts led to the death of the three children.

When contacted, the spokesman for the state police command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the development on Monday, revealed that the killing occurred late on Saturday and the incident was reported to the command late on Sunday.

Ikenga said police operatives have visited the scene of the incident and evacuated the corpses, adding that a manhunt has been launched on the suspects through the information gathered from residents around the area.

Ikenga said, “Yes, we got a report from the Divisional Police Officer of the area about the killing of three siblings who were killed by some assailants and their corpses dumped in a Mercedes Benz car parked in the compound.

“We have taken over the scene and we have also interacted with those around the scene and the father of the deceased and the information they have provided is helping us to launch a manhunt on the suspects.

“The assailants entered the compound, killed the victims and dumped their corpses inside a parked Mercedes Benz in the compound. The incident happened on Saturday, but we got the report late on Sunday.

“We are trying to unravel the circumstances behind the killing, whether it was due to the negligence of their father or the motive of the suspect and as soon as we conclude our investigation, the report will be made public.”
