Hon. Chimaobi Atu, the Member representing Enugu North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has been honoured with the Excellent Service Award in recognition of his dedication and selfless commitment to humanity, particularly in the vital areas of community development and social welfare.

The award was presented to Hon. Atu by by Men of Light Media House represented by Ukaobasi Esther Chinonso, in Enugu over the weekend during the radio programme of the media outfit “Talking point”

In her remarks, Ukaobasi lauded Hon. Atu for his exceptional contributions to the welfare of the people in his constituency. She emphasised his commitment to initiatives that have transformed lives, particularly in the fields of education, healthcare, welfare.

“Hon. Chimaobi Atu is the embodiment of selfless service to the people. His relentless efforts have not gone unnoticed, and it is only fitting that we recognise his exemplary dedication with this honour,” she proclaimed.

Hon. Atu, visibly moved by the recognition, expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating that the award energises him to deepen his commitment to serving his constituents. “I am genuinely honoured to receive this award. It fuels my determination to work even harder for the people of Enugu North and South. My mission has always been to uplift my community, and I am resolute in my commitment to doing so with even greater fervour,” he declared.

The Excellent Service Award is part of Men of Light Media House’s initiative to honour individuals whose efforts have made a significant impact in their communities. Hon. Atu’s recognition not only celebrates his achievements but also embodies the growing ethos within the Nigerian legislative framework that promotes accountability and inspires public servants to prioritise the welfare of their constituents.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of food item gifts, courtesy of Hon. Atu, to winners of the “Talking Point” question and answer segment for December 2024. Among the items were bags of rice, cartons of noodles, cooking oil, and various other essentials.
