Fidelity Advert

I just watched a video that stirred an explosive range of emotions ranging from deep sadness and sorrow, to anger that had my blood boiling and my heart pounding.

It was a video of a Lady Bishop preaching to Donald Trump, his VP and their families in a packed church at the National Cathedral during the National Prayer Service in Washington, DC, a day after Trump’s crowning and coronation by the Oligarchs and their filthy wealth.

The Bishop was passionately begging Trump to have mercy and show compassion for those that he has promised his voters that he would punish; those he would deprive of their rights and dignity, and deport and destroy. She pleaded with Trump to reconsider his actions to separate children from their parents, and not deport hardworking immigrants who have been the engine behind the development and growth of the American economy. She tearfully asked Trump not to disrespect the rights of gays, lesbians and trans people. The Preacher reminded Trump that, he must remember that they were all at a certain time, STRANGERS in America. And that God’s best friends were strangers.

Trump sat through this sermon with a stoic demeanor, showing no emotional disposition, except for occasional twitches and realignments of his massive body and ego on the church bench. He managed to put up a typical nonchalant face and gesture, taking glances of an apparent defiance, which I believe, was for the benefit of his MAGA Maggots.

I am not a body-language expert, but I managed to figure the unease written all over his wife Melania’s face. Trump’s wife an illegal immigrant at a certain time, confirmed an African adage that says that when a proverb of a tattered and raggedy dress is given, the old wretched woman must sit up. Melania was that old woman on that church bench.

When the Lady Bishop spoke about Immigration and Trump’s merciless and draconian plans and actions, Melania’s eyes began to dart around as she began to shift in her seat. She must have remembered how she came to America just like that desperate Mexican woman who smuggled herself into America to work in the back kitchens of the expensive restaurants that Trump took her to. Melania must have thought also about the Haitian refugees who, fleeing the terror and hunger in their country, began to work without adequate pay in Trump towers and casinos.

Malenia Trump, formerly Melania Knauss, cut a pathetic picture sitting next to her husband and listening to the Bishop beg and preach a sermon of conscientious disquisition. Melania must’ve been conjuring in her mind how she came to America in 1996 as a Slovenian citizen to seek for greener pastures like the Mexican woman. She obtained a green card in 2001 through what many think were questionable and controversial circumstances. A year after she married Trump, she became a naturalized US citizen in 2006. Her Immigration Status was no different from the millions her husband has begun to deport.

The many ironies of Donald Trump’s policies and actions, and the attendant MAGA madness, must never be lost on the true realities of what their politics are—racism, sexism, corruption, greed, avarice, narcissism, wickedness, white supremacy, and the dominance and the perpetuation of evil in the world.
