Leaders from the Abia North Senatorial District, united under the Abia North Peace Foundation (ANPF), have wholeheartedly endorsed the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the National Assembly representative for Abia North, in the upcoming general elections.
The group asserted that the zone will not repeat the errors of 2023, when it failed to deliver for the president, and pledged to mobilise substantial votes in support of both leaders.
Speaking on behalf of the ANPF, Chief Nnanna Ukaegbu addressed reporters in Umuahia on Wednesday, expressing confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu and Senator Kalu, citing their developmental achievements as pivotal reasons for their endorsement.
“We have witnessed the leadership qualities of President Bola Tinubu and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. Their commitment to the development of Abia North is evident, and we will do everything within our means to ensure their re-election,” Ukaegbu stated.
The leaders also expressed their gratitude to President Tinubu for prioritising Abia North during his administration, particularly through a number of projects allocated to the zone, facilitated by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
Additionally, they specifically commended Senator Kalu for the ongoing construction of over 80 schools throughout Abia North and for advancing essential road projects in Ohafia, Arochukwu, Bende, Isuikwuato, and Umunneochi communities.
Among the notable roads facilitated by Senator Kalu are the Ndi Orieke Ohafia Road, Amannagwu Arochukwu Road, Amakwu Amaoku Road, Alayi Road, Okai Item Road, Ozu Item Road, and many more projects currently underway across Abia North.
“Thanks to Senator Kalu’s efforts, President Tinubu has ensured that vital infrastructure projects are being delivered to Abia North. We are reaping the benefits of his administration, and it is imperative that we show our gratitude at the polls,” Ukaegbu added.
