The Senate has sanctioned the state of emergency announced by President Bola Tinubu in Rivers State.
Tinubu issued the declaration in response to the ongoing crisis in the oil-rich region, resulting in the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the members of the Rivers House of Assembly.
