Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has authorised the promotion and conversion of 2,061 civil servants who took part in the 2024 promotion and conversion exercises in the state.
Elated civil servants expressed their gratitude for the Mbah Administration’s commitment to their welfare, citing timely salary payments, improved working conditions, and enhanced capacity building.
This announcement was made by Mr. Robison Odo, Chairman of the Enugu State Civil Service Commission (ESCSC), on Monday.
“The Executive Governor of the state has recently approved the release of the promotion and conversion exercises for 2,061 officers who successfully participated in the 2024 promotion interviews.
“The changes affect officers spanning grade levels 01 to 17. We will swiftly implement His Excellency’s approval,” he added.
The chairman praised Governor Mbah for the prompt disbursement of salaries, pensions, and gratuities, lauding his dedication to the welfare of the state’s workforce since the beginning of his administration.
“We want to express our heartfelt appreciation to the governor for his efforts on behalf of the workers in the state. Despite the considerable projects underway across various sectors, he has still approved a minimum wage of ₦80,000 in 2024, exceeding the national minimum wage benchmark,” he emphasised.
According to him, workers in the state will continue to support the governor’s initiatives to realise the administration’s goals for the benefit of the state.
“We remain committed to instilling discipline within the service, fostering creativity, innovation, and productivity to ensure the government’s success,” he concluded.
