As various Christian denominations gather to celebrate mothers on Mothering Sunday 2025, the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has extended his heartfelt wishes to mothers on their special day.
Mbah described motherhood as both a significant responsibility and a precious gift from God. He praised mothers for their resilience, sacrifices, love, and their essential roles in nurturing their children and ensuring the smooth functioning of society.
In a message he personally wrote on Sunday, Mbah stated, “On behalf of the Government and the people of Enugu State, I convey my warm wishes to you, our dear mothers, on this occasion of Mothering Sunday.
“As a government, we acknowledge the vital roles you play in giving birth to and nurturing life. We especially commend your resilience, dedication, sacrifices, love, and motherly devotion. We recognise your key contributions to the effective running of homes and the establishment of a godly and prosperous society.
“Congratulations on your special day, and may God bless your sacrifices and grant you the joy of reaping the fruits of your labour.”
