Senator Austin Akobundu has described motherhood as a unique gift from God, not bestowed upon everyone, and worthy of celebration by all.
In his message to mothers on Mother’s Day, Sunday, 30 March 2024, he praised their resilience in nurturing families and highlighted their vital role in upholding the foundations of society.
He reaffirmed his dedication to supporting mothers by continually developing innovative policies and strategies aimed at alleviating their socioeconomic challenges through a range of empowerment and skills acquisition programmes for both them and their children.
Encouraging them to pray for the nation and maintain a hopeful outlook for the future, Akobundu wished them a joyful celebration of the day!
