The Peoples Democratic Party has faced another setback as Hon. Ugochukwu Collins, the lawmaker representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has officially switched allegiance to the Labour Party (LP).
This comes just a week after Hon. Lucky Johnson, the representative for Isuikwuato State Constituency, left the PDP to join the Labour Party (LP).
Hon. Ugochukwu’s defection was confirmed in a letter addressed to the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, which was read aloud during the ongoing plenary session on Wednesday.
Like other defectors, he cited the persistent crisis within his former party as one of the primary reasons for his departure, among other factors.
