Hon. Professor Paul Sunday Nnamchi was among twenty distinguished Nigerians, including sitting governors from four states, honoured by Verbatim Magazine at the Late General Yaradua Centre recently.
He received recognition from the investigative journal for his excellence and quality leadership in legislative performance for 2024, based on his contributions in the House of Representatives and the significant number of Bills and motions he has sponsored.
Last year, Professor Nnamchi was named the most outstanding legislator from the southeast by the authoritative publication, “The Order Paper,” which evaluates the performance of legislators annually.
As of March 2025, the lawmaker representing Enugu East/Isi Uzo Federal Constituency in the 10th House of Representatives has sponsored thirty-six Bills and over twenty impactful motions, with more than twenty of those Bills having passed their second reading.
Speaking at the well-attended Verbatim 13th Anniversary Lecture, delivered by the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, the magazine’s Editor, Mr Tobs Agbaegbu, emphasised that the awardees were selected through meticulous evaluation and investigation by the editorial team.
He stated that the magazine has established itself as a leader in investigative journalism and would not associate with dubious awards lacking merit.
The award recipients span both private and public sectors, including practitioners, governors, legislators, military officers, and journalists, all of whom have distinguished themselves as trailblazers in their respective fields.
