Reverend Samson Okoro Elekwa, a respected cleric of the Baptist Church, has praised Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, calling him “Abia’s greatest gift from God” and “a divine instrument” through whom God is transforming the Abia North Senatorial District, stressing that no amount of negative criticism can stop him.

Speaking to reporters, the cleric commended Senator Kalu’s significant achievements in rural infrastructure, notably the construction of roads in Ndi Orieke, Ohafia LGA, and Amannagwu, Arochukwu LGA, along with over 80 other roads throughout the district.

“The road in Ndi Orieke, Ohafia, and the one in Amannagwu, Arochukwu, are merely a fraction of the life-changing projects Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has initiated for our people,” Rev. Elekwa stated. “He didn’t just talk; he took action. These roads have opened up our communities and empowered our farmers, traders, and transporters. This is true empowerment—much more effective than merely distributing wrappers or small cash.”

Reverend Elekwa also highlighted several other communities benefiting from Kalu’s leadership, including Atan Abam, Alayi, Ezeukwu, Ndi Inya Abam, Isu, Umuzomgbo, Itumbauzo, Okoko Item, Nneato, Akanu Ohafia, and Abia Ohafia.

“Kalu is not only building roads, but he is also building hope, restoring pride, and empowering generations. We must recognise and safeguard this legacy,” he added.

Taking a firm stance against those who criticise the senator, the cleric labelled detractors as “political jobbers and sponsored nonentities.”

“Those attacking Senator Kalu are merely jobless noise-makers who have never contributed anything substantial to their communities. They feel threatened by his success and aim to distract him. But their efforts will be in vain,” he asserted.

Reverend Elekwa urged the people of Abia North and the entire South East to rally behind Senator Kalu, describing him as a beacon of leadership, vision, and grassroots development.

“The South East needs leaders like Kalu—bold, generous, and focused on development. I encourage our people to support him and disregard those who only know how to criticise without delivering results,” he concluded.
