The Ugborikoko Police Station, supported by Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), was officially commissioned today, April 11, 2025, in Effurun, Delta State by Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun.
This development represents a significant milestone in enhancing the community’s security efforts.
Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, a prominent indigenous security solutions provider, is dedicated to safeguarding Nigeria’s critical oil and gas infrastructure. Renowned for its excellence, innovation, and reliability, TSSNL has established a robust presence in the nation’s high-risk sectors.
The building was inaugurated by IGP Kayode Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, who was represented by AIG Zone 5, AIG Salman-Dogo Garba, PSC. Also present were His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu; Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda; the representative of the Commissioner of Police Oyo State Command, CP Johnson Adenola; and various senior officers, including two Deputy Commissioners of Police and the DPO of Ugborikoko Division, CSP Temi Agbede Zuokuomor, alongside traditional and religious leaders.
Speaking at the newly commissioned police station located at DDPA, Airport Road, Effurun, the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Kestin Pondi, remarked, “It was all celebrations and excitement as the good people of Ugborikoko community in Uvwie LGA witnessed the commissioning of the newly built Ugborikoko Modern Police Station.”
He elaborated, “The building, which was built and furnished by Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd, contains state-of-the-art facilities, including a constructed quarter guard post, a dedicated generator house, drainage construction to ensure a healthy and safe environment, and the reconstruction of the police hall, giving it a modern and functional design.”
“The commissioned project also includes two Hilux vehicles for operational mobility, a 30KVA soundproof generator, and a 30KVA solar system to ensure uninterrupted power supply, CCTV cameras and computer systems to enhance surveillance and digital operations, television sets, air-conditioning units, and a fully equipped conference room and interrogation room.”
High Chief Kestin Pondi stated that as a private security provider with local roots and global reach, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd understands that no society can thrive without peace and security.
He added that peace and security arise from collaboration between the community and the government, emphasising that the first line of defence in preserving peace in Nigeria is the Nigeria Police Force. Therefore, the decision to build the police station signifies Tantita’s commitment to restoring peace in Warri and enhancing the security of lives and properties for all residents in Warri, Effurun, and surrounding areas.
IGP Egbetokun, represented by AIG Salman-Dogo Garba, commended Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and its Managing Director, High Chief Kestin Pondi, for their support and for making the project possible.
IGP Egbetokun remarked that the building is a significant effort in strengthening the safety, security, and properties of the local populace.
Highlighting the roles of the police in maintaining law and order, IGP Egbetokun added that the newly built police station will bring the police closer to the community.
To the officers and men of the Ugborikoko Division, IGP Egbetokun stated, “This will serve as more than just a place to work for the police.”
The IGP also noted that this donation reflects not only a commitment to the community’s well-being but also a profound trust in the role the police force plays in maintaining peace, law, and order.
He assured everyone that the new police station is not merely a workplace for officers but also a venue for the public to engage positively with the police and collaborate in building a safer and stronger community.
IGP Egbetokun further praised High Chief Kestin Pondi for his support in securing critical government infrastructures and contributing to the nation’s development.
Earlier, the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Omosetemi Agbede Zuokumor, stated, “When I assumed my duties on 10th June 2024, I faced a daunting reality: the previous police station structure was in a challenging state, unworthy of the dedicated men and women who serve within its walls.”
She continued, “Recognising this pressing need for transformation, I reached out to my longtime friend and brother-in-law, the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd. His unwavering support for our vision of a new modern police station has been instrumental in bringing this dream to fruition.”
“Today, as we stand before this impressive structure, officially inaugurated with the laying of its foundation on 10 July 2024, we celebrate the culmination of seven months of tireless effort and dedication.”
CSP Zuokumor added, “This edifice is not merely a building; it is a testament to our commitment to enhancing the safety and security of our community. In addition to this beautiful structure, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd built and furnished the gatehouse, which accommodates the Sil, surveillance, and station guard offices.”
“They also renovated and furnished the divisional hall, provided two Hilux vehicles for the division, installed concrete stamp flooring in the compound, and set up a 30 kVA inverter and a 30 kVA Mikano generator. Furthermore, we now have cutting-edge cameras with ultra-modern monitors, a well-equipped interrogation room in line with the new Administration of Criminal Justice Act—which mandates that all confessional statements must be recorded—and a tactical conference room within this beautiful edifice.”
“The new Ugborikoko Police Station is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities designed to improve our operational efficiency and enhance the capabilities of our officers. We are now better positioned to serve the citizens of Uvwie and its environs.”

CSP Zuokumor expressed her gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Egbetokun, for his unwavering support and vision for a better police force.
She also thanked the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, for the opportunity to serve as the Divisional Police Officer of Ugborikoko Division and for consistently following up on every stage of the project with encouraging words, “We are proud of you.”
Meanwhile, some community members who attended the commissioning, expressing their admiration anonymously, stated that this project will enhance security in the area. The new station building reflects TSSNL’s commitment to safeguarding the community and supporting the Nigeria Police Force in maintaining law and order. Their involvement in this project highlights their dedication to securing Nigeria’s critical infrastructure. With their expertise and resources, TSSNL has been instrumental in protecting the country’s oil and gas assets, and this latest initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the community.
The commissioning event drew top government officials, traditional leaders, and a large crowd from across the country.
