Mainpower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) has announced that certain areas in Enugu metropolis are experiencing power outages due to ongoing maintenance on the Kingsway line II, 33KV network.
The management MEDL in a statement issued on Friday stated, “To ensure the safety of our engineers working on this vital line, we have also temporarily shut down the Kingsway line I, 33KV network as a precautionary measure.”
The areas affected by this outage include Abakaliki Road, Ogui, GRA, Uwani, Asata axis, Zoo Estate, Achara Layout, Coal Camp, and several others, including Ngwo, Secretariat, Kingsway area, Okpara Avenue, Railway quarters, CBN Quarters, Golf Estate, New Market, Iva Valley, Jamboree, Ologo Quarters, Agbani Road, Old UNTH, and 9th Mile.
“We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause to our valued customers,” the spokesperson continued. “We are working diligently to complete the maintenance and anticipate restoring electricity supply before the close of business today.
“MEDL remains dedicated to enhancing service delivery for its customers and appreciates their understanding during this necessary maintenance period.”
