The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, has extended heartfelt congratulations to High Chief Government Oweizede Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, as he marks his 54th birthday today, 12th April 2024.
In a statement signed by the Chapel’s Chairman, Okies Okpomor, the organisation highlighted the significant achievements of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) under Tompolo’s leadership in combating illegal oil bunkering, pipeline vandalism, and piracy in the Niger Delta region.
The statement noted, “The Chapel acknowledges the giant strides Tantita as an organisation has recorded in the onslaught against illegal oil bunkering, pipeline vandalism and piracy in the Niger Delta region since the Federal Government awarded the contract to it.”
It further remarked on the dire state of oil production in Nigeria prior to TSSNL’s engagement, stating, “The pitiable state of oil production in the country was largely caused by illegal bunkers, which goes a long way to affect the nation’s economic growth before your organisation came to the rescue.”
Since TSSNL’s appointment by the Federal Government, oil production in the country has improved dramatically, reaching an output of 1.8 million barrels per day (bpd), a milestone unprecedented in Nigeria’s history prior to Tantita’s involvement. “Your positive impacts in oil production is in public space, and history has recorded the great work Tantita has done and is still doing to improve the economy of the country,” the statement added.
The Chapel also acknowledged Tompolo’s contributions to the nation’s economic stability and the protection of critical assets in the oil and gas sector, which have significantly boosted crude oil revenue. “It is your immeasurable contributions to the country’s economic base and protection of the Nation’s Critical Assets (NCA) in the oil and gas sector that has put the crude oil revenue at the highest level,” the statement read.
In addition to his professional achievements, the NUJ Warri Correspondents’ Chapel praised Tompolo for his philanthropy and leadership qualities, stating, “The Chapel lauds your generosity to mankind because you are a philanthropist and great ambassador to the younger generation.”
As Tompolo celebrates this milestone, the Chapel expressed its hopes for his continued success, stating, “We pray God to continue to grant you the needed strength and wisdom to move the private pipeline security outfit to an enviable height.”
Joining his family, friends, and well-wishers globally, the NUJ Warri Correspondents’ Chapel wished Tompolo a joyous celebration, praying for “more years in sound health, peace and joy in your noble family.”
In closing, they offered their best wishes for future accomplishments, stating, “May this your new age bring you greater joy, accomplishments, prosperity, fulfilment and every other good things of life.”
