Frustrated by the ongoing presence of the Sole Administrator, numerous residents of Rivers State have taken their grievances to motoparks and various locations throughout the state.
On March 18, President Bola Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, suspending Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu, and all elected members of the Rivers State House of Assembly for an initial period of six months.
Following this announcement, retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas was appointed as Sole Administrator to manage the state’s affairs during the suspension.
This decision has sparked protests, particularly among women in the state, who have taken to the streets of Port Harcourt to urge the president to reconsider the suspension.
In the early hours of today, numerous buses across the state were spotted displaying the poster ##BringBackFubara.
