Members of the Enugu State Caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the House of Representatives, including Rt. Hon. Nnolim Nnaji, Rt. Hon. Martins Oke, and Hon. Anayo Onwuegbu, have extended a warm welcome to Rt. Hon. Dennis Agbo and Hon. Chidi Mark Obeta of the Labour Party (LP) as they join the PDP.
The caucus noted that the visionary leadership of Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in Enugu State has sparked a significant wave of defections and an unprecedented increase in PDP membership throughout the state.
In a statement issued following the formal announcement of the two members’ defection to PDP during the resumption of House plenary on Tuesday, the caucus expressed their delight at welcoming them into the PDP.
They emphasised that the PDP in Enugu State is experiencing a remarkable renaissance, driven by the transformative development agenda being implemented across various sectors of the state’s economy by Governor Mbah, which has garnered global acclaim.
The leader of the Enugu State caucus, Rt. Hon. Nnolim Nnaji, on behalf of his colleagues, further highlighted that Governor Mba’s investments in infrastructure, agro-economy, and security, among other areas, have transformed Enugu State into a haven for tourism.
He added that with the strong governance framework established, the upcoming second term for Governor Mbah is poised to be a smooth endeavour.
