In response to high demand and public interest, the Enugu State Government, through the Enugu SME Center and the Office of Digital Economy, has officially extended the application deadline for the Enugu AltSchool Digital Skill Grant to June 30, 2025.

This extension, announced under the theme “You Asked. We Listened.”, allows more Nigerians—not just Enugu residents—to apply for the life-changing digital skills training program in partnership with AltSchool Africa, Bybit, and other global tech players.

“We heard your requests and we’re giving you more time to secure your spot,” the organizers said in an official statement on Monday.
“This isn’t just another online course — this is AltSchool Africa, a tech institution trusted by thousands of learners across Africa.”

The AltSchool Digital Skills Grant offers access to a globally recognized, UK-accredited diploma across 10 high-demand tech tracks including:

  1. Frontend Engineering
  2. Backend Engineering
  3. Cloud Engineering
  4. Cybersecurity
  5. Data Analytics
  6. Data Engineering
  7. Data Science
  8. Product Design (UI/UX)
  9. Product Marketing
  10. Product Management

Over the course of 12 months, successful participants will:

  • Learn from world-class instructors through live interactive classes
  • Build hands-on projects to become job-ready
  • Receive mentorship, internship opportunities, and career support
  • Graduate with a globally respected diploma

The program is delivered 100% online, making it accessible to qualified applicants nationwide, regardless of location.

Affordable Learning Backed by Government Support

The total program cost is ₦435,000, but thanks to the 50% Enugu Digital Skills Grant, participants pay only ₦217,500. Alternatively, applicants can opt for a flexible payment plan:

  • Pay ₦108,750 upfront
  • Spread the balance over 12 months at ₦9,062.50 monthly
  • Financing is provided through the Enugu SME Human Capital Development (HCD) Loan, which is interest-free

“This grant-backed program is designed to unlock opportunities for young Nigerians and position them for global tech careers,” said a representative of the Office of Digital Economy.
“It reflects our government’s strong commitment to digital empowerment and inclusive human capital development.”

Applicants must make payments to the official training account:

  • Account Name: Enugu SME Training/Upload Account
  • Account Number: 5030120468
  • Bank: Fidelity Bank Plc

IMPORTANT: In the transfer narration, clearly state your full name and chosen track (e.g., David Uche / Frontend Engineering).

Priority will be given to those who make full payments or opt for the HCD Loan.

“Only 54 scholarship slots remain. This is your chance to build real, globally marketable tech skills, access world-class training, and rewrite your story,” the organizers emphasized.
