The burial of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, which was initially scheduled for Monday, has been postponed to Tuesday, July 15.

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umar Radda, announced the change while addressing journalists on Monday, citing consultations with Buhari’s family and associates in London.

“We have made consultation with his family and people around him in London, we have concluded that the body will arrive tomorrow by 12pm,” Radda stated.

He further disclosed that the late president will be laid to rest at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.

It will be recalled that President Bola Tinubu had earlier dispatched Vice President Kashim Shettima to London to accompany the remains of the former Nigerian leader back to the country.
