The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) has announced plans to hold a three‑day “On‑The‑Spot Complaint Resolution Exercise” for its customers in Abakaliki and Afikpo districts of Ebonyi State.
The initiative, according to the company, is part of ongoing efforts to promptly resolve customers’ billing‑related concerns.
This was disclosed by the Group Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, Mr. Emeka Ezeh, during a chat with newsmen in Abakaliki on Wednesday.
Ezeh explained that the exercise will run from Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, to Thursday, 24th July 2025, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily, across three different locations.
“The exercise will provide an opportunity to address and resolve customer complaints on the spot, particularly those that are related to electricity bills,” Ezeh stated.
He urged all customers with billing issues to seize the opportunity and have their complaints resolved without delay.
According to him, Day 1 of the exercise – Tuesday, 22nd July 2025 – will hold at EEDC Old Office (beside the Ebonyi State Ministry of Finance), Abakaliki.
Day 2 – Wednesday, 23rd July 2025 – will be held at the EEDC GRA Service Center (opposite Democracy Estate), Abakaliki, while Day 3 – Thursday, 24th July 2025 – will take place at the EEDC Afikpo Service Center, Amachi Road, Afikpo.
Customers are advised to come along with their recent electricity bills, receipts or proof of payments, and any other supporting documents or correspondence related to their complaints.
Ezeh further emphasized that the exercise is strictly dedicated to billing matters.
“The ‘On‑The‑Spot Complaint Resolution Exercise’ is strictly focused on billing issues, and customers with other concerns are advised to visit the Customer Service Units at the District Offices and Service Centers for appropriate action,” he said.
The exercise is expected to foster improved customer satisfaction and strengthen the relationship between EEDC and its customers in Ebonyi State.
