The Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has approved the nomination of six individuals as commissioners and forwarded their names to the Enugu State House of Assembly for confirmation.
This was contained in a public service announcement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
According to the statement, the commissioner‑nominees are:
- Engr. Benjamin Osita Okoh
- Prof. Benedeth Ekwutosi Okoli
- Eyinna Franklin Ogbonna
- Dr. Samuel Ogbu‑Nwobodo
- Prof. George Ugwu
- Ben Collins Ndu Jr.
“The names have been transmitted to the Enugu State House of Assembly for confirmation,” Onyia said.
In a separate development, Governor Mbah has also approved the appointment of Dr. Godwin Anigbo, mni, as the Head of Service of Enugu State.
“This appointment takes effect immediately,” the statement added.
The appointments are part of the governor’s ongoing efforts to strengthen his administration and drive effective governance across the state.
