Eminent academic and community advocate, Professor Kalu Eni, has unequivocally stated that Ohafia Udumeze is not part of any alleged political conspiracy against the Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
In a firm rebuttal of claims suggesting discontent within the Ohafia clan, Prof. Eni said the people of Ohafia Udumeze remain grateful for Senator Kalu’s contributions to the community and will not be swayed by divisive political forces.
“Count Ohafia Udumeze out of any plot against Senator Kalu,” Prof. Eni declared. “Ohafia people are not betrayers. We won’t betray Senator Kalu the way others did; rather, we shall continue to love him as one of us.”
He credited his own academic success to Kalu’s investment in education, adding, “I have never met him, but his achievements speak for him. Becoming a professor today was a result of his investment in education, which I benefited from.”
Prof. Eni further condemned what he described as efforts by outsiders to exploit the name of Ohafia for political advantage, despite doing little or nothing for the community in the past.
“Some of them were in power but cannot name a single thing they did for Ohafia. We won’t allow them to hide under our LGA to instigate us against Senator Kalu. As for Ohafia Udumeze, we are fully supporting Senator Orji Uzor Kalu,” he insisted.
Emphasizing the unity of the Ohafia clan, Prof. Eni declared that political realignments within Ohafia Local Government Area can only be considered starting in 2031.
“That era where we were used and divided is over. No more division in Ohafia. Ohafia is one, and we are with Senator Orji Uzor Kalu,” he affirmed.
He also aligned with other respected leaders from Ohafia, including Dr. Ody Ajike, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu, Barr. Emeka Kalu, Chief Fred Idika, Bishop Silas Eke, Rev. Kalu Ukpai Ota, Pastor Caleb Kalu Awa, Prince Emma Nwosu, and Chief D.K. Uduma — all of whom have expressed their support for Senator Kalu and rejection of any attempts to divide the community.
With this statement, Prof. Eni has sent a clear message that Ohafia Udumeze remains solidly behind Senator Kalu and will not be used as a tool in any political mischief.
