Former Abia State Governor and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed profound grief over the death of Senator Ibrahim Musa Kontagora.
Senator Kontagora reportedly passed away in Abuja on Thursday after suffering a medical emergency.
In a heartfelt statement, Kalu described the late lawmaker as a “patriot, distinguished lawmaker, and humble servant of the people who served Nigeria with honour and diligence.”
“I am deeply saddened by the news of Senator Kontagora’s passing. His contributions to the Senate and our nation’s development will never be forgotten,” Kalu said.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and extended his condolences to the Kontagora family, the people of Niger State, and the entire Nigerian Senate.
“This is a painful loss not just to his family, but to the Nigerian Senate and the nation at large. May Allah grant him eternal rest and give his loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he added.
