The Enugu State SME Centre, in partnership with Turing Tech, has unveiled the Enugu SME × Turing Tech Training Programme (ETTP), a 12-month fullstack software engineering initiative designed to equip young people with world-class digital skills and guarantee them remote global job placements.

According to the organisers, the programme is part of Enugu’s Outsourcing Revolution aimed at creating opportunities for Enugu youths to earn globally competitive salaries without leaving the state.

“This is not just another training — it is your direct pathway to a guaranteed global tech job after 12 months of world-class software engineering training,” the SME Centre stated in its announcement.

The centre revealed that successful participants stand to earn at least $20,000 annually (over ₦30 million at current exchange rates) upon job placement with international companies.

Key features of the programme include:

  • A 12-month intensive fullstack software engineering training.
  • Guaranteed remote or hybrid job placement on completion.
  • Competitive global earnings after training.

On payment, the organisers explained that the initiative is designed to be affordable for young people. “Participants are only required to pay ₦250,000 upfront, with a guarantor’s cheque covering the balance of ₦150,000, payable after the first training month,” the statement noted.

Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, officials of the SME Centre said the scheme was conceived to open doors for young people in the state to tap into global opportunities. “We want to empower Ndi-Enugu to earn in dollars while working from home. This is how we create real wealth and position our youths for the future of work,” the centre added.

Applications are now open via www.enugusme.en.gov.ng/ettp, while interested candidates can also read FAQs through a dedicated link.
