The Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation has announced the commencement of its 2026 bursary programme, aimed at supporting tertiary education students from Udi and Ezeagu Local Government Areas of Enugu State.
The Foundation said the bursary scheme is designed to cushion the financial burden on students who are academically sound but face economic challenges in the pursuit of higher education.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Hon. Mrs. Uche M. Eze, the Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to educational development as a tool for empowerment.
“This bursary scheme is intended to assist bright students who face financial challenges yet remain committed to their studies. The objective is to ease the financial strain of higher education and ensure that every learner, regardless of economic background, has the chance to achieve academic success,” the statement read.
Eligibility and Application Process
According to the Foundation, interested applicants must be enrolled in accredited Nigerian higher institutions, from 200 level up to their final year. They must also demonstrate strong academic performance or potential.
The bursary is strictly for indigenes of Udi and Ezeagu LGAs of Enugu State. Applicants are required to upload all necessary documents on the Foundation’s application portal, as failure to do so will lead to outright disqualification.
Applications officially open on October 1, 2025, and close on October 30, 2025. Eligible students are advised to apply through the Foundation’s website: https://druzorcaresfoundation.org/scholarship/.
