The Managing Director of Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd, Architect Chibuikem Onyekachi Emmanuel, has congratulated the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Enugu State, Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, on his elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
In a heartfelt congratulatory message on Wednesday, Architect Onyekachi described Dr. Udeh’s rise to the Inner Bar as a testament to his integrity, dedication to justice, and passion for Enugu State.
“I congratulate my big brother and strong confidant, Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh SAN, Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Enugu State, on his elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria,” he stated.
According to him, the recognition reflects not only Dr. Udeh’s commitment to excellence in the legal profession but also his contributions to reforming the justice sector in Enugu State.
“This honour shows his love for God, his passion for Enugu State, and his pursuit of excellence in the legal profession. It is also an acknowledgement of the great work he has done in reforming the justice sector and making it more open to the people,” Architect Onyekachi added.
He highlighted the Attorney General’s achievements since assuming office in 2023, noting his role in reviving mediation centers across the state, introducing digital handling of court processes, and guiding the passage of several new laws to improve governance.
“Since his appointment in 2023, Dr. Udeh has led important reforms, as he guided the passage of many new laws, revived mediation centers across the state, and introduced new measures to speed up justice delivery. He also promoted the digital handling of court processes to make justice more efficient and fair,” he noted.
The Powell Homes boss emphasized that under Dr. Udeh’s leadership, the Ministry of Justice has prepared over 18 bills, with 15 already signed into law, covering areas such as electricity regulation, land administration, environmental safety, and property rights. He also commended the creation of a Witness Trust Fund to support fair trials and protect the integrity of the judicial process.
He further described Dr. Udeh as not just a legal practitioner but also a teacher, mentor, and reformer who has inspired many young people to view law as a tool for service and progress.
“Dr. Udeh is respected not only as a lawyer but also as a teacher, mentor, and reformer. By his example, many young people now see the law as a tool for service and progress. His rise to the rank of SAN is a clear sign of his influence in the legal community and public service, as well as a reward for his sterling efforts in the legal profession,” he said.
While celebrating his friend’s elevation, Architect Onyekachi also commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for providing the Attorney General the platform to demonstrate his capacity.
“More so, I want to use this opportunity to thank Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for the opportunity presented to my friend to work in his administration, which provided a platform for him to showcase his hidden talents to the world. May God bless him more,” he stated.
He reassured the governor of his company’s continued loyalty and support, urging the people of Enugu to rally behind Mbah’s administration.
“I want to assure him of my unalloyed support for his administration, while I also call on ndị Enugu to use all they have to support his administration,” he said.
Concluding his message, Architect Onyekachi expressed pride in Dr. Udeh’s elevation and confidence in his continued contributions to the state and the nation.
