Mbah Launches VSAT Training Programme to Empower Enugu Youth in Satellite Broadband Technology
The Enugu State Government has unveiled the Enugu VSAT Training Program 2025, a groundbreaking digital skills initiative designed to equip young people with hands-on expertise in satellite broadband technology.
The programme, which is being implemented in partnership with NIGCOMSAT and the Enugu SME Center/Office of Digital Economy, is a strategic step in the state’s broader vision to build a technology-driven economy.
According to the organisers, the 7-day intensive training will cover VSAT installation, configuration, and maintenance, as well as field experience in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and connectivity deployment. Participants will also gain practical knowledge on how to apply satellite technology to real-world telecom and broadband systems.
Under the visionary leadership of Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the initiative aligns with his administration’s commitment to empower young people with future-ready skills.
“This programme is a bold step toward building a digitally empowered workforce in Enugu State. We’re not just training technicians — we’re creating innovators who will shape the future of connectivity and digital infrastructure,” a statement from the organisers noted.
Successful participants will receive a nationally recognized, NIGCOMSAT-endorsed certificate, opening doors to careers in digital infrastructure, telecom entrepreneurship, and contract deployment.
The training is open to young people aged 18–35 who are passionate about technology and eager to thrive in Nigeria’s fast-growing digital economy.
“Don’t miss this opportunity to skill up, stand out, and shape the future,” the statement added.
