President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved five new appointments in the Federal Civil Service, naming fresh Permanent Secretaries to fill existing vacancies across key geopolitical zones.

The announcement was made on Monday in Abuja by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, in a statement issued through the Director of Information and Public Relations, Mrs. Eno Olotu.

According to the statement, the new Permanent Secretaries are: Ibrahim Ozi (Federal Capital Territory), Ezemama Chidiebere (Imo State), Garba Usman (North Central), Mohammed Ishiyaku (North East), and Ukaire Chigbowu (South East).

Mrs. Walson-Jack explained that the appointments were the outcome of a “rigorous and transparent selection process,” reflecting President Tinubu’s commitment to merit, excellence, and professionalism in public service.

She congratulated the appointees and urged them to bring their wealth of experience and integrity to bear in their new roles, emphasizing that their leadership would be crucial in advancing the administration’s development agenda.

“The appointments followed a rigorous and transparent process in line with the administration’s commitment to meritocracy and excellence in the civil service,” she stated.

Mrs. Walson-Jack commended President Tinubu for his dedication to building a competent and efficient civil service, describing the new appointments as a clear demonstration of his focus on performance-driven governance.

She added that the move will further strengthen the machinery of government and ensure improved service delivery to Nigerians across all sectors.
