The Principal Partner of Lawroot Firm, Barrister Henry Okeke, has hailed the nomination of Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh (SAN), the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Enugu State, as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, describing it as “a right peg in the right hole.”

Speaking with journalists at his Abuja office on Tuesday, Okeke praised the decision, calling it a well-deserved recognition of Udeh’s integrity, professionalism, and dedication to justice reform in Enugu State.

“Barrister Udeh has distinguished himself as Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State through his professionalism, reforms, and commitment to justice delivery,” Okeke said. “His nomination as a minister is not only well-deserved but also a recognition of excellence and hard work.”

The legal luminary described Udeh as a team player who will further strengthen the collaboration between Governor Peter Mbah’s administration and the federal government in advancing the state’s development agenda.

“Enugu State has gained a strong voice at the federal level — one who understands governance, justice, and institutional reform,” he added.

Okeke also commended Governor Peter Mbah for what he termed “leadership foresight” in identifying and recommending competent professionals for national service.

“I must commend His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah, for his wisdom in nominating such a capable hand. Udeh’s track record speaks volumes, and his inclusion in the federal cabinet will bring pride not only to Enugu State but to the South East region as a whole,” Okeke stated.

Expressing confidence in the nominee’s capacity, Okeke said Udeh’s vast experience and intellect would contribute meaningfully to the success of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, particularly in justice sector reform and governance.

“I have no doubt that Udeh will bring his wealth of experience, intellect, and commitment to bear in advancing the policies and programmes of the federal government — especially in strengthening justice, governance, and the rule of law,” he concluded.
