says his appointment will strengthen party unity and development in the state

The people of Umuobom Village, Agbogugu, in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, have expressed deep appreciation to the National Leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for appointing their illustrious son, Dr. Chiedozie Nwafor, as a member of the Enugu State Caretaker Committee of the party.

The commendation was made during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Umuobom Development Forum (UDF) to the Enugu State APC secretariat at GRA, Enugu, on Wednesday.

Addressing journalists shortly after the visit, the leader of the delegation, Chief Tony Nnaemeka, described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Nwafor’s long-standing commitment to leadership, service, and grassroots development.

“The community is happy to have one of her own appointed as a member of the state leadership of the party,” Chief Nnaemeka said. “Dr. Nwafor has, since time immemorial, been one of the brightest brains from Umuobom, and he distinguished himself during his tenure as councillor of our ward.”

He described Dr. Nwafor as a bridge-builder whose idea of political pluralism has transformed Agbogugu’s political atmosphere, adding that the APC in Enugu State will greatly benefit from his inclusion in its leadership.

“Dr. Chiedozie Nwafor’s appointment did not come as a surprise to us,” he continued. “He has consistently shown leadership, humility, and commitment to community development. His influence cuts across political divides, and we are confident that he will use this new position to further promote peace, inclusiveness, and the growth of the All Progressives Congress in Enugu State.”

Chief Nnaemeka also commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for his “outstanding performance” and efforts in reintegrating Enugu State into national politics. He further hailed the state caretaker leadership of the APC, led by Dr. Ben Nwoye, for its resilience, unity, and commitment to peace and progress within the party.

He concluded by offering prayers for continued wisdom and divine guidance for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the APC National Leadership, and all party members, assuring them of Umuobom community’s unwavering support and loyalty.

“Our prayers are with our son, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Mbah, and the APC leadership. We will continue to show support and stand by them in their quest to deliver good governance and strengthen democracy,” he added.
