The Agbaja Media Practitioners (AMP) have congratulated the Agbaja Leaders of Thought on the successful convening of the 2025 Agbaja Summit, scheduled to hold from Wednesday, 26th to Thursday, 27th November 2025.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Emeka Chibuoke, and the Secretary, Umeh Clinton, AMP described the annual summit as “a towering platform for intellectual engagement, cultural revival, and strategic reflection on Agbaja’s developmental journey.”

AMP said the 2025 edition — themed “Education and Skills Development: The Pathway to Sustainable Progress” — reaffirms the collective determination of Agbaja people to equip the next generation with the knowledge, tools, and values required to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

The group commended the Agbaja Leaders of Thought led by Professor Chinedu Nebo, who also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, for conceiving and sustaining the summit as a legacy of thought leadership and cultural preservation.

According to the statement, “This year’s colloquium, which will focus on vocational training, digital literacy, youth entrepreneurship, and sustainable skill acquisition, could not have come at a more critical time. The challenges facing young people today demand innovation, preparedness, and a community-driven approach.”

AMP also celebrated the commitment to honour illustrious sons of Agbaja whose contributions shaped its cultural and political history.

“These events remind us of the greatness in our heritage,” the group said. “Honouring men such as the late Okwuloha, Chief Onyeama Onwusi (Onyeama n’Eke); the former Governor of the old Anambra State, Chief Christian Chukwuma Onoh; and the influential community leader, Chief Goddy Chinze, is not only an act of remembrance but a moral obligation to preserve the legacies that built Agbaja.”

The practitioners also noted the significance of the second day of the summit — the celebrated Cultural Fiesta, featuring dance, music, and masquerades — describing it as “the heartbeat of the event and a reminder of the cultural identity that binds Agbaja people across generations.”

This year’s summit will be chaired by former Governor of Enugu State, Barrister Sullivan Chime, while Professor Nebo will serve as Chief Host. The keynote address will be delivered by renowned cleric, Monsignor Obiora Ike, known for his fiery oratory and advocacy for social transformation.

AMP expressed confidence that the 2025 Summit would “inspire fresh ideas, build new alliances, and rekindle the spirit of unity, excellence, and cultural pride among Agbaja people.”
