Despite these substantial monthly allocations, residents and civic groups say the impact on infrastructure, local services, and community development remains unclear.

With roads in disrepair, abandoned health centres, and limited economic growth indicators, many citizens are now asking:

Where is the money going?

Calls for accountability have intensified as stakeholders urge the Awgu Local Government administration to publish detailed expenditure records and ongoing project updates.

Local transparency advocates argue that with more than ₦6.3 billion received within twelve months, residents should see visible improvements in critical sectors such as water supply, rural roads, markets, healthcare, and basic social amenities.

As public scrutiny grows, Awgu’s leadership is expected to respond to increasing demands for openness on how these allocations have been utilised and what development plans are being executed for the benefit of communities across the LGA.
