The Enugu Magic Labs Animation Training Programme (EMAT) will on Friday, 28th November 2025, hold the graduation ceremony for its pioneer batch of trainees, marking a major milestone in Enugu’s push to build a globally competitive creative economy.

According to Hon. Arinze Chilo-Offiah, Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital Economy & MSMEs and Director-General of the Enugu SME Center, the event — scheduled for 10:00 AM WAT at the Amadeo Event Center beside Elim Plaza on Bbeano Tunnel Road, Enugu — will celebrate the creativity, resilience and transformation of the first EMAT cohort.

Chilo-Offiah said the ceremony will honour young animators who have acquired world-class skills in 2D and 3D animation, positioning them for opportunities in Nigeria’s expanding digital and creative sectors.

“The future of our economy lies in the hands of digitally skilled young people. EMAT is proof that Enugu’s youth are not just ready for that future—they’re already creating it,” Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah said, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to talent development.

Chilo-Offiah encouraged animation enthusiasts and aspiring creatives to attend the ceremony, describing it as “a moment to witness the transformation of talented young people and a chance for others to begin their own journey in the creative industry.”

Applications for EMAT Batch 2 are now open, offering up to 80% subsidised world-class training in 2D and 3D animation.
