Energy expert and co-founder of the Abia Industrial Innovation Park (AIIP), Engr. Chinedu Onyeizu, has stated that Governor Alex Otti has “redefined governance in Nigeria” through visionary leadership, strategic planning, and a bold commitment to economic renewal.
Speaking at the Africa Energy Summit in Kigali, Rwanda, Onyeizu said Abia State is undergoing an unprecedented transformation driven by massive investments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, security, and fiscal discipline.
He described the administration’s industrialisation push—anchored on the Abia Industrial Innovation Park—as the centrepiece of the state’s economic rebirth. According to him, the AIIP is being developed around sustainable energy solutions to ensure stable power supply for industries and attract long-term investments.
Onyeizu further noted that the Otti administration has restored public trust through transparency, improved workers’ welfare, and the prompt payment of salaries and pensions, while creating a pro-business environment that is positioning Abia as “a new industrial and investment destination.”
Addressing regional energy leaders, he said Abia’s rapid progress under Governor Otti proves that purposeful leadership, policy clarity, and strong private-sector partnerships can dramatically reshape a state’s economic landscape.
According to Onyeizu, “Abia’s transformation is a clear demonstration that when leadership is intentional and development-driven, the fortunes of a state can change within a short time.”
