According to the draft schedule adopted by the NEC, the congresses will be conducted in phases across wards, local government areas (LGAs), states, zones, and at the national level, in line with the provisions of Articles 11 and 17 of the APC Constitution.

State, Zonal Congresses and National Convention

Purchase of forms for state executive positions is slated for February 23 to 27, 2026, while screening and appeals committees for state executives will be inaugurated on February 28. Screening of aspirants for state executive offices will run from March 2 to 4, 2026, with appeals heard between March 5 and 6.

State congresses are scheduled for March 7, 2026, while appeals arising from state congresses will be considered from March 9 to 11.

Forms for zonal congresses and the National Convention will be sold and submitted between March 12 and 17, 2026. Screening committees for zonal congresses and the National Convention will be inaugurated on March 18, with screening of aspirants holding from March 19 to 20.

Zonal congresses will take place on March 21, 2026, across the six geopolitical zones: South West (Ibadan), South East (Enugu), South South (Rivers/Cross River), North West (Kaduna), North East (Gombe/Bauchi), and North Central (Nasarawa). Appeals from zonal congresses will be heard on March 23.

The APC National Convention is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, March 25, to Saturday, March 28, 2026.
