The Temple of Justice Foundation, a non-governmental organisation based in Enugu, has formally opened its headquarters in a grand ceremony held on December 21, 2025, at 9th Mile Corner, Ameke Ngwo, Enugu State.

The new headquarters, known as Chief Amujiogu Chambers, was inaugurated amid prayers, goodwill messages and strong commitments to justice sector reform and social equity.

The ceremony commenced with a spiritual prayer session led by the Parish Priest of Christ the King Catholic Parish, Ngwo, Rev. Fr. Dr. Chijioke Ezeh, who was represented by Rev. Fr. Frank. The priest prayed for divine protection, favour and spiritual strength for the foundation, particularly in confronting the challenges associated with the pursuit of justice in society.

Speaking on the purpose of the event, the Executive Director of the Temple of Justice Foundation, Ozo Barrister Alex Amujiogu, revisited the vision that inspired the establishment of the organisation. He said the foundation was born out of a desire to liberate the oppressed, give hope to the depressed, restore joy to the poor and advance the cause of justice in society.

Amujiogu stated that the foundation intends to contribute meaningfully to justice sector reforms in Enugu State and across Nigeria, aligning its mission with ongoing reforms being driven by the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, in collaboration with the Chief Judge of Enugu State, Hon. Justice A.R. Ozoemena.

He also lamented what he described as the continued inhumanity of man to man, calling for an urgent end to practices that have, in his words, “eaten deep into the bone marrow of society.”

Delivering the keynote address, the Senate Minority Whip, Distinguished Senator Osita Ngwu, expressed delight at the vision and mission of the Temple of Justice Foundation and pledged his unwavering support to the organisation in its efforts to promote justice and societal well-being.

Several other dignitaries spoke at the event, including the Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Enugu State Chapter, Rtn. Dr. Sunday Okafor; former Chairman of Enugu East Development Centre, Hon. Barr. Onyekachi Agbo; President of Ubelenze Ozo Ngwo Clan, Ozo Prince Afam Ude; President of Ngwo Clan General Assembly, Hon. Barr. Kenneth Ani; and Hon. Osita Ngwu, APC Chairman of Ngwo Uno Ward.

Also in attendance were Ozo Dr. Anthony Amujiogu, other notable government officials, captains of industry and leading figures in the judiciary. Cultural groups, including Umuada Ngwo Nigeria, added colour and vibrancy to the occasion through performances.

The event climaxed with the distribution of over 150 bags of rice to widows, the sick and indigent persons present at the ceremony. The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Temple of Justice Foundation for its philanthropic gesture and offered prayers for continued grace and sustainability for the leadership and members of the organisation.

The inauguration was widely described as historic, marking what attendees called a new chapter in the pursuit of justice and social equity in Enugu State and Nigeria at large.

The foundation reaffirmed its guiding principle: “Bonum Eligere” — Justice Must Be Done.
